Red Bucket

Hello again everyone! I have a fun little summer outfit post for you all today. I kept everything about the outfit extremely neutral so that my statement bucket bag is the main focus. The bucket bag has been the "it bag" this year and for good reason! They have such a beautiful shape and make a care-free statement, which is the perfect vibe for summer. This one is actually my mother's bag, but she let me borrow it for the day! It is a Mansur Gavriel, a relatively new fashion line created by two friends in NYC. They specialize in no-fuss, clean designs with the finest leathers hand crafted in Italy. Because of this, it can be a little difficult to get your hands on a bag, so be sure to stay in the loop if you want to snag one of your own. I love the unique red color of the leather, it reminds me of the shade of my favorite red lipstick. It gives off more of a rich vibe, rather then a bright, fire engine red. I think that helps the bag become more of a timeless piece that can be used for all seasons, rather than a summer trend item.

I have to talk for a minute about these white jeans. I have been searching for almost five years to find a pair that flatters my body, rather than highlighting my imperfections, and this pair is finally that! I was honestly in disbelief while staring at the mirror in the dressing room. The sale price of $25 was just another perk! I am also loving this summer mesh sweater. It is nice and breathable in the Texas heat, which is perfect! Both of these items are from the Gap, which is my go to store for basics. I hope you enjoy this casual look and this statement bag, and that it inspires you to be adventurous with your accessories!

Trapeze Dress, Three Ways : Day 3

Hello again everyone! I styled this fabulous Banana Republic trapeze dress one last time for you all today! I wanted to add a little unexpected edge this go around, and I think pairing it with this washed denim cropped top is the perfect way to do that. I am adoring these two fabrics mixed together, they create such a unique look! The silk of the dress is so classic and refined, while the distressed look of this top adds a totally different, more on trend vibe to this outfit. The sea foam green of the skirt also pairs well with the light gray-blue of the top, reminding me of sea glass in the ocean. I always like to wear a heavy pendant necklace with a boxy, loose fitting top because I think it helps to press the fabric closer to your body, creating more of a shape. I went with my favorite wedges again, just to dress up this outfit a bit. I think this would be a great option for a casual date night with friends or your significant other. I hope you enjoy the third and final look in this series and it inspires you to throw a crop top over your favorite dress and see what happens!

Trapeze Dress, Three Ways : Day 2

Hello again lovelies! As promised, the trapeze dress is back in a whole new way today. I wanted to try to dress it down a bit for a daytime occasion. I love this look for brunch, or a summer cookout with friends. I think adding this belt tones down the romantic flow of this dress just enough to allow it to pass for a casual daytime look. When dressing something up or down, footwear is always important. When I really want to wear a tee and jeans, but I have to look a little nicer, heels are the way to go. I applied the opposite philosophy in this occasion. I wanted to take something elevated and downplay it, so I decided to go with flip flops. Nothing screams comfort and effortlessness more then a simple pair of sandals, and these Tory Burch ones match my belt to a T! I hope you get inspired to take some of your summer nighttime outfits into day with these simple changes!
