Trapeze Dress, Three Ways : Day 1

Hello again everyone! I apologize for my little blog-hiatus the past two weeks. Sometimes, a girl just needs a break! I never want Meggie Frue to become a chore rather then a fun hobby, so I needed to leave it on the back burner for a bit until I was really inspired to post again. So here we are, and I have so many new, fresh looks to show you all. The best part...almost everything I will be featuring on my blog in these coming weeks are on MAJOR sale!!! I love holidays like Fourth of July when you can get pieces you have had your eye on for months at a fraction of the cost. That was the case with this little trapeze dress. I had been lusting over it ever since I saw it for the first time. Everything about it was perfect: the midi length, the silk fabric, the criss-cross back, and of course the unique color. I couldn't bring myself to pay $150 then, but when I saw it over the weekend on sale for $99, it had to be mine! On top of that, I actually got an additional 50% off...so I snagged this beauty for $50! SCORE!!! I am not sure if the sale on sale promotion is still running at Banana Republic, but you should definitely check it out! Ok, back to this beauty of a dress. I, for the most part, LIVE in dresses all spring and summer. I just love throwing on one piece without having to create an entire outfit. My biggest issue, however, is finding new, unique ways to wear these dresses so I don't appear to always have the same outfit on. I decided to really push myself and create three different looks for this one beautiful dress. The one I have today is mainly just the dress in all of its glory. I paired it with wedges and simple jewelry, creating a perfect occasion or date night outfit. The silky fabric creates an effortless elegant look that is perfect for so many different scenarios. I love how well it moves with me and flows beautifully in the wind. I hope you enjoy this dress as much as I do and stay tuned this week to see two other ways to wear it!
