FashionxDallas Accessory Showcase

Hello again all! I hope you are all having an amazing week so far. I had such a great weekend spending time with my two besties. My friends are the greatest!

On Thursday night Rachel and I rushed downtown immediately after she landed in Dallas to catch the FashionxDallas fashion show. This program supports local Texas designers and jewelry makers to help get their name out into the world of fashion. We were surrounded by such beautiful art and I was blown away by the amount of talent Texad has! They had many booths set up for the jewelers and accessory designers so you could get a closer look at their collections and even purchase pieces. Here are just a few of the ones that caught my eye.

Mona Jain Jewelry

Mona Jain strings together fine Indian craftsmanship with the best in semi precious stones. Their designs reflect the essence of mystical eastern design while keeping in mind the tastes of the modern day woman. You can sense the cultural celebrations of this collection but Mona Jain still keeps the designs fresh and modern, like this open cuff bracelet. All the pieces were so unique and gorgeous!

Kristin Miller

Kristin Miller is a jewelry line fabricated with careful attention to artistry, originality and quality. Kristin's designs are largely comprised of hand cast brass pieces that begin as carvings she sculpts from wax, which are then converted into master metals through the ancient lost wax process. While many of her designs are geometrically inspired, they also maintain a rustic quality by embracing the small imperfections that result from casting and many sets of artistic hands. All the stones in her collection are either hand cut semi-precious stones, or vintage crystals which make each piece unique. I loved the tribal aspects of these designs. The mix of rich gemstones, muted brass, and vintage components make this jewelry line a favorite in my book.

Mitchell Primrose

Launched in 2012 by brother and sister team Mitchel and Carmen Primrose, what started as a small capsule of exotic skin necklaces and bracelets has evolved today to encompass a full range of jewelry and handbags. I loved this line. I was especially impressed with the beautiful color schemes and the unique Swarovski crystal clutches.

Laura Pierson

Laura Pierson is a self proclaimed "rock nerd" who makes it her mission to use minerals, rocks, and fossils from around the world that were previously not used for jewelry in her collections. She was very knowledgeable about each of her precious stones, and one seemed to be more beautiful and unique then the next! I particularly loved this first pair of earrings. They are unlike anything I have ever seen before, almost appearing to be printed with a floral pattern. The colors complement the rose gold perfectly.

Mad Jewels

Mad Jewels is a handmade jewelry line designed by Madison Patrylick of Fort Worth, Texas. The collection is inspired by the many cultures and colors of the world, particularly Asian cultures and the colors of nature. Mad Jewels tries to create pieces for every pocket book and age range. I loved all of the bright colors and Bohemian flare that Mad Jewels had in their collection. I was especially infatuated with the turquoise tones.

Cindy Schulze Jewelry

I was not able to talk to the talented designer Cindy, but I admired her pieces so much I had to share them with you all! I know her philosophy is "Simple. Contemporary. Everyday." and I believe her collection speaks to just that. They were classic, no-fuss pieces that can be worn with just about anything. I really admired the message pendant necklaces.

Blaine Bowen Jewelry

Based in Dallas, Blaine Bowen Jewelry is a unique jewelry line created out of love for art, where each piece is handcrafted from high quality materials and authentic gemstones found around the world. Her designs are also largely influenced by the colorful cultures she has experienced first hand during her many travels around the world, and her time growing up on an out island in the Bahamas. She keeps her pieces very much on trend, even a bit ahead of the curve. She focused mainly on cuff bracelets and open cuffed style choker necklaces highlighting precious gem stones. I really gravitated toward her whole collection, especially loving the mix of gem stones with not only classic gold and silver, but rose gold and gunmetal as well. We talked to Blaine for a while. She was so warm, welcoming, and just a down to earth person in general. I know she is destined for great things in the fashion industry!

Allison Mitchell

Based in Dallas, Allison Mitchell handbags are crafted from animal skins and hides from around the world. Lined in seasonal picks from the designer, the minimalistic chic brand offers a polished, deconstructed look that makes a statement with unique shapes and exceptional materials. I loved hearing owner and designer Allison Mitchell talk about the birth of her fabulous clutches. She created an oversized clutch for herself on a Sunday afternoon, simply because she wanted a bag she couldn’t find, and turned it into a business! How inspiring is that? Her bags were exceptional, I wanted one in every color, for every day of the week!

Brackish Original Feather Bow Ties

Brackish Original Feather Bow Ties started with a simple problem, finding the perfect groomsmen gift. The Brackish bow tie itself has now built a new tradition. Their customers make a statement, and are recognized for it. Every tie is handcrafted locally in South Carolina, and because every single feather is hand selected, no two Brackish bow ties are exactly alike. Every tie is a sustainable work of art. I thought these were spectacular! The idea was so unique, yet so on trend. The bright colors of each feather will make your man stand out in the crowd, and I love that. I think I know what the Hubs is getting for Christmas...

I hope you enjoyed these fabulous collections, and there is much more to come from the FashionXDallas event, so stay tuned!

XOXO
