Beauty Tuesday: Hair Care Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello again! I am so excited to share with you today my shampoo and conditioner favorites. I have been using these products for about six months now and I really do love what they are doing for my hair. They reduce the brassiness my warm toned hair can often have and they keep my locks looking shiny and healthy even as I grow them long. I have very long and pretty thick hair. It has been bleached a while ago on my ends, but other then that I have not dyed it, so I cannot personally recommend these products for color treated hair. I try to only wash and use heat on my hair twice a week to maintain some natural oils.I hope you enjoy learning a bit about these products and that they work for you as well!

The first product in my routine is the L'Oreal Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo. This shampoo helps repair the five visible signs of damaged hair - split ends, weakness, roughness, dullness and dehydration - without weighing hair down. I love this creamy shampoo, it washes the dirt and products out of my hair while still leaving it silky. Also, it does not cause build up week after week. I like to work it in from the back of my head to the front, and I usually rinse and repeat to make sure I thoroughly clean my hair.

The second product in my routine is the L'Oreal Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner. Again, this conditioner targets the five visible signs of damage while keeping hair voluminous and soft. This conditioner is amazing at keeping my damaged ends smooth and my hair frizz-free. It feels silky for days and maintains a luminous shine, even after heat processing. I leave it on for about three minutes in the shower after shampooing and then rinse off.

The next two products I am going to mention I only use about once every two weeks.

The first of these products is the L'Oreal Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm. This is like a deep conditioning treatment meant to seriously nourish your ends and help prevent them from splitting.  This product can even help reverse some of the damage you have already done to your hair, which is why I like to use it on my ends because they have suffered from my ombre treatment. I like to let the conditioner soak in for about five minutes in the shower after I use my regular conditioner just for added moisture.

The final product that I use about every two weeks is the Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Original Conditioning Shampoo. It is a deep purple toning shampoo that helps reduce brassiness and brightens up natural or processed highlights. I like to use this as my second shampoo twice a month to help restore an ashy color to my hair and get rid of yellow tones.
