2013 Christmas Decor

Hello again guys! I hope you had an amazing weekend. I don't know about you but I really cannot believe Christmas is just around the corner! In honor of that, I would like to share with you some of our winter decorations. I forgot to photograph the beautiful Nativity scene that my mother and father in law graciously gave us last year, so I will be including that in another post for sure. Also, we thought we were going to be out of town from Christmas until New Years, so we have no tree this year, which is quite sad, but I will be sure to get a few shots of the tree at my parents house since we will be spending Christmas Day there. My table scape is pretty much the same all year round. I love the mix of the lanterns and the Mercury glass candlesticks. I think that combination looks festive by itself, so I just added a few touches of greenery to make it feel more winter appropriate. Ive also painted the back wall since my last decor post, the same color (Valspar "Mountain Smoke") as our bedroom accent wall. I think the gray works well with the other neutral tones we have on our first floor. As for the rest of the decor, I just liked to sprinkle a bit of faux greenery, pine cones, and Mercury glass throughout the house. I think the Mercury glass gives it a modern touch, rather then using red. I hope you enjoy these little bits of my home and they inspire your winter decor!
