Stripes With Pops Of Pink

Hey guys! I have another outfit post for you today, pretty exciting I know! I haven't been finding much in stores lately that have really caught my eye, but this dress sure did. It's simple, classic, and so easy to throw on. I am able to wear it to work with a cardigan or blazer, or dress it up with a belt, heels, and a leather jacket for nighttime. I really love pieces with day to night potential, and this was only $30!!!! I found it at Charming Charlie's, which is mostly an accessory store, but they had a few clothing pieces as well. Striped dresses are popping up everywhere and are so perfect for spring. I hope this inspires you!

Summer Nails

Ok guys so I did a little but of shopping last night with my friend Lindsey at Target! I had heard about the "Sam and Libby" partnership with Target from shoe designer Sam Edelman and his wife Libby. I was so excited to discover our target fully stocked with ADORABLE shoes! I myself got two pairs, one pair if flat sandals and one pair of wedges (pictures to come), and I believe Lindsey got two pairs of flats. The colors were really adorable, very bright and fun. Anyway, when we were there I also picked up some fun nail polish colors from Essie. The periwinkle blue color is called "bikini so teeny", which I think may be the most adorable name ever, and the disco ball glitter polish is called "set in stones". Now I have to be honest, I am pretty darn awful at painting my own nails so I usually avoid it. I am just not patient enough to let them dry! In an attempt to be a bit more girlie and because I knew it would be so cute for summer, I decided to give the nails another go. Now don't be too critical because they are not perfect, but they are not half bad either so I'm pretty proud of myself. Let me know what nail colors you have been loving this season!

Honey Maple And Mustard Goodness

Hey guys! Happy Monday! Today I have to share with you another staple recipe in our house, honey maple chicken! It is so so so simple to make and I always make a bit extra to throw into a salad or a sandwich the next day. It almost tastes like a honey mustard sauce (my fave) but it is only 3 cannot beat that! I found the recipe through

Dijon Mustard And Maple Chicken

  • 1pound of chicken breasts, thighs, or tenders
  • 1/2 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinigar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried or chopped fresh rosemary

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the chicken. In a small bowl, mix together the mustard, syrup, and vinegar. Place the chicken in an oven safe baking dish. Pour the sauce mixture all over the chicken (I mixed my sauce in the dish I was cooking in to save on dishes). Make sure that the chicken is coated in the sauce on both sides. Place in the oven and bake for about 25-35 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chicken. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with the rosemary, and enjoy!
