The Perfect Plate

Hey guys! Ok so another Tasty Tuesday post for today, and this is super fun for entertaining. I made this a week ago for the Hubs and I because we got ourselves a real nice bottle of wine to celerate my birthday and I wanted to compliment that Pinot Noir nicely, so I decided to do a "snack for dinner" type thing and make an extravagant cheese plate for us to share. So when I put a cheese plate together I like to at least include:

- A soft Cheese
- A medium cheese
- A hard cheese
- A salted crunchy nut
- A salty meat
- A sweet berry/fruit
- A sour fruit
- A cracker or crustini bread

I simply went to the cheese counter at my local Whole Foods and asked for cheese recommendations that would compliment a Pinot Noir. The people who work with the fancy cheeses are usually very knowledgeable and love to help you try new things. Here is the "recipe" to get the cheese plate I created; enjoy!

The Fruehauf's Favorite Cheese Plate

  • A green apple sliced and covered in lemon juice

  • Strawberries sliced

  • Roasted salted almonds
  • Sweet potato chips

 Slice, arrange, and enjoy!
