Love Nest

Hello again my lovely followers and happy Thursday! I am really excited to share with you another decor post today, this time of our little bedroom! Ever since Christmas the Hubs and I have been hard at work turning this into our perfect haven. We still have a little ways to go (night stands, lamps, ect.) but so far it is a huge improvement! We had been sleeping on Travis' old Queen mattress from college and were feeling a bit cramped, not to mention our backs were always killing us because the mattress was a bit to soft...and just plain old. So, to treat ourselves, we invested in a King Tempur-pedic which may or may not be the best decision we ever made (besides getting married of course). It is so amazing, its like we sleep on a supportive cloud, which is pretty much the biggest improvement we could have made from our old mattress. We are at the point where we don't even want to stay at a hotel because our bed at home is better....it's that comfortable. We also got to pick out two pillows, I chose a Yu Me Coconut Bliss pillow and Trav chose a Tempur-pedic pillow, and after many months of fighting over my pillow, I finally purchased Travis a Yu Me one as well. It is so soft I promise you will fall in love with it. After we treated ourselves to this fine mattress and pillows, My parents decided to get us a bed frame for Christmas and Travis' parents lovingly purchased the bedding for us. After a bit of searching for the perfect match, we are now BEYOND happy with everything we were blessed with. The bed is a French style iron bed and was the perfect compromise for Travis and I style wise. The bedding is white and a jersey material, so soft and comfortable. Thank you so much to our loving parents for these amazing gifts! Also, while Travis was away on business a few weeks ago, I decided to do a project on my own and surprise Travis when he came home....painting the accent wall! I went to Restoration Hardware because I am obsessed with everything in that store, and chose a perfect paint color. Then, instead of shelling out some serious cash for their paint, I took the paint chip to my Home Depot and got a great quality paint that is the same color for much less (thanks Dad, for the paint and the DIY instructions, I don't know what I would have done without you). Hope you like our little love nest of a bedroom!
