Glass Beauty

An Art Show In The Gardens

On Tuesday night we had the pleasure of going to the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens (where we held our wedding reception). Artist Dale Chihuly creates free-standing blown glass sculptures and large scale artworks that are present in many museums throughout the world. One of his most recognizable works is the Bellagio ceiling in Las Vegas, Nevada. He started his series of garden exhibitions back in 2001 at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois. Our friends, Travis, and I were lucky enough to have him come through Dallas. The artwork was so intricate and the colors, so vibrant. My photos could never do the artwork justice, but hopefully you can imagine how amazing this truly was!
